Krav Maga Level 1: This entry level class is designed for all new Krav Maga students. The goal of the class is to teach the basics of self defense and fighting. Students will learn Krav Maga’s fighting stance, movement, various punches, kicks from a standing position as well as from on the ground, elbows, knees, and how to defend against punches, chokes, headlocks and wrist grabs. Upon completing Krav Maga Level 1, students will participate in a yellow belt workshop and test into Krav Maga Level 2.
Krav Maga Level 2:
In Level 2, students will continue to review and hone the skills learned in Krav Maga Level 1 and will learn additional punches, kicks, punch defenses with counterattacks, kick defenses, and defenses against various chokes, headlocks, and bearhugs. Upon completing Krav Maga Level 2, students will test into Krav Maga Level 3.
Krav Maga Level 3:
KM Level 3 is an intermediate class where students will continue to train on strikes, defense against strikes, and self defense, including more advanced techniques that involve defending against weapons such as knives, guns, and sticks.
Fight Class
This class is for students who want to take the skills learned in the Krav Maga program and apply them to a controlled street fighting environment. Skills and Drills are emphasized, but time is left at the end of each class for several rounds of contact fighting. This class requires approved headgear, shin and instep protection, and 14 or 16 oz boxing gloves as well as groin protection and mouthpiece. You must pass the Level 1 test to have access to this class or have permission from an instructor.
KM Fitness – Kickboxing With A Bad Attitude
Krav Maga Fitness is not your typical aerobics class! This is cardio training with a purpose. Utilizing the principles of Krav Maga, KM Fitness not only can help you lose weight and become stronger but also is designed to teach you how to use these techniques to defend yourself on the street. A variety of punches and kicks are used throughout the classes in an intense cardiovascular workout. Using the heavy bags and pad work while surrounded by energizing music, this cardio class teaches you how to properly execute your punches and kicks with the maximum power so if needed on the street you could put up a fight! This class is designed to help supplement your Krav Maga Level training.
KM-X Kids – Self Defense, Fitness and Life Skills (Ages 7 – 12)
KM-X Kids is a dynamic program that instructs students in realistic self defense, motivates them to improve their overall level of fitness & enriches them with crucial life skills so that they can become champion in all aspects of their life. Our goal is for the students to realize that becoming a successful and accomplished person, takes hard work and dedication. Respect, discipline, focus, sportsmanship, teamwork, manners and common sense are just some of the life skills carefully woven into the km-X curriculum.
Km-X is creative, thoughtful and custom designed so that students can see their progress and be proud of their growth. The km-X program has a complete belt system to reward their accomplishments. There are four levels and each advancement requires the passing of that level’s test. Basic Training, Boot Camp, Black Belt Club, Advanced Black Belt Club
KM Teen (Ages 13 – 16)
This class is meant to have all the cardio endurance training of the KM Fit class along with the techniques provided of the basic Level 1 class. This class is meant as a bridge to help young people who want to take Krav Maga get basic instruction without, at first, being placed in a primarily adult class. |
